GST billing · A product by Nowgray
Bill in twenty seconds.
Get paid without chasing.
GST-ready billing for shops, service businesses and offices — with the khata your customers owe you built in, and none of the clutter your staff don't need. Point the camera at a supplier's bill and it types itself in. Works at the counter whether or not the internet does.
Free forever for one user. Not a trial.
The whole product
Five screens. That's the app.
Everything a counter needs and nothing it doesn't. Swipe through — this is the real interface, not a concept.
What you get
Billing that fits how you actually bill.
Retail counter, service desk or back office — the flow adapts instead of forcing one rigid process on you.
Tax split worked out from the place of supply, HSN and SAC codes, rate-wise breakup, amount in words, and a gapless invoice series per financial year.
A running balance for every customer, with the ledger behind it. Opening balances carry over from the book you're replacing.
Take ₹2,000 against four bills and it settles the oldest first, the way you'd do it on paper. Anything left over sits on their account.
One tap opens WhatsApp with the amount and bill number already written. No marketing credits, no per-message fee.
Photograph what your supplier handed you. The supplier, bill number, date, line items and the GST you paid come back filled in, ready to check. Your input tax stops being a shoebox.
A walk-in doesn't need a name, an address or a khata entry. Bill them and move on.
Bill of supply instead of a tax invoice, with the declaration printed, when that's what your registration calls for.
Bill from the counter and the back office at once, with everything kept in step.
GSTR-1 summaries and sales reports exported in the formats they already work in.
On your phone
It installs like an app, because it is one.
No store account, no 40 MB download, no waiting for an update to reach you. Add it to your home screen and it opens full-screen, offline, with its own icon.
Install it now
Works on Android, on a Windows or Mac desktop, and on iPhone through Safari's Share menu. The camera, the PDFs and the khata all work with the aeroplane mode on.
- Android / Chrome — menu ⋮ → Install app, or tap Start free and accept the prompt.
- iPhone / Safari — Share → Add to Home Screen.
- Desktop — the install icon at the right of the address bar.
The Android build
There is a packaged Android version of this same app, for the camera work — a phone's own text recognition reads a supplier's bill faster than the browser can, and it keeps working with no signal at all.
It is in testing, not yet on the Play Store. Everything on this page works today in the installed web app; the packaged build is an upgrade to the scanning, not a different product.

Questions
Before you start
Is the free plan really free?
Yes — one device, unlimited bills, no expiry and no card. We charge when you want your bills backed up and on more than one device, which is a want, not a wall.
What happens when the internet goes down?
You keep billing. Bills are written to your phone first, so the counter never stops. On Plus and above they sync up once you're back on a signal.
How well does scanning a purchase bill actually work?
On a flat, well-lit printed bill it usually gets the supplier, the bill number, the date and the totals right, and most of the lines. It always hands you a filled-in form to check rather than saving anything by itself — a figure the camera misread is a figure you would have to unpick from your books later.
Do I need a GST number?
No. Without one you'll raise plain bills; with one you'll raise proper tax invoices. Enter your GSTIN and the state fills itself in.
Can I move my khata across from paper?
Yes. Each customer takes an opening balance, so what they already owe you carries over on day one.
Will my accountant be able to work with this?
Every invoice carries the fields they need — both GSTINs, place of supply, HSN per line and the rate-wise tax breakup. Report exports are on the way.
